Rob Key out for five against Sussex
There was uproar at Canterbury today, when Rob Key was wrongly given out for five. One prominent expert was moved to comment:
"It's a colossal miscarriage of justice. I swear what the Sussex players did after he spooned the ball straight to cover didn't constitute an appeal and you have to appeal - those are the laws of the game.
"The young lad had looked really confident and well-set for the first 14 balls. He'd unfurled some glorious leaves and treated the supporters to a couple of textbook forward defensive strokes.
"If I were a wealthier man, I'd invite that poor young chap round to my home for some battenburg and sherry, but, you know - pensions aren't what they used to be."
He's a very old 'prominent expert'.
Don't worry, we're not going to cover every single Rob Key failure this season with a bizarre fictional quote from a pensioner.
Well, we might.
