Inzy's final one-day innings

Inzy was just dismissed for 37 off 35 balls in his final one-day innings. The crowd gave him a standing ovation, the Zimbabweans applauded him and the rest of the Pakistan team gave him a guard of honour.

Why is everyone in the world of cricket trying to make us cry at the moment? We hate emotion. We're only familiar with emotions like 'angry' and 'hungry'.

We're going to ignore this and concentrate on something else. Our tea's not ready and we know how we feel about THAT.

  1. When a great player retires, everyone stands up and applauds. It's a tradition, and a great one -isn't this a gentleman's game?

Humour and 'Attitude' great virtues but there are moments when they are best kept under wraps: On this otherwise very fine cricket blog, that, I thought was a sad post.

It IS worthy, Amit and we're wholly in favour.

It's only our own emotions that are troubling us.

Amit, exactly what you're after is buried somewhere in that post. Somewhat clumsily, but Blue and Brown certainly appreciate The Great Aloo.

I've never been a big fan of Pakistan...but you've got to respect such a genuinely great player. A man who's showed us all for well over a decade that sheer skill can triumph over athleticism and practice.
